Le Taj Mahal - Boulogne-sur-Mer

Very pretty decoration, and tried to provide an accommodating service. We wanted Onion Bhaji and even it wasn't in the menu they said they cooked for us. I asked for a spinach dish but in the menu it came with Paneer which I don't like

My quest to find a good quality Indian meal in France with fresh ground space and chilly was dashed again here. This is a clean restaurant with good service a a friendly Proprietor but the meal, although pleasant to eat, was devoid of chilly or anything that would be recognised as Indian cuisine in the UK.I put this to the Owner and Chef after the meal, he said that the French just won't eat spicy food, so I told him that the English used to feel that way but now it is the national dish. Anyway he pointed to a note at the bottom of the menu (in French) that says that if you want it spicy please ask.I suspect that if you ask for a proper Indian meal here it may be provided so give it a try; it has potential.
