The High Country Greek - Boone

Phenomenal! The staff the food the quality it was all there. I recommend it!

Excellent food. The owners takes pride in their food. Everything was delicious and fresh. BUT the Baklava. I have eaten in Greek restaurants all over and this was the best baklava I have ever eaten. It is a bit tricky to navigate to this restaurant.

We were seated in the narrow cold hallway above the tennis courts. The waitress was awesome, knowledgeable, and attentive. She was the only good thing about the place. The food was horrible. I love Greek food, have had it many times, but this was yucky. I did like the hummus and tzatziki sauces, but that's not enough to make me want to spend the kind of money I just shelled out to throw away food. It is very expensive but to their credit, they give you a lot. Portion sizes don't matter though if the food is gross.

This is my second time trying this place. The first time was over a year ago, and after seeing they had opened another location I thought they might have improved. Unfortunately the food was worse than it was last time. The lamb gyro meat was greasy, some of it was soggy, the pita was soggy from the grease, and the tzatziki sauce was lacking in flavor. I grew up near a Greek town with amazing authentic Greek food-this restaurant doesn’t meet my standards at all for Greek. We will NOT be back. This place is a waste of money.

We had an amazing experience at this friendly restaurant. The atmosphere is small and inviting; the food is absolutely delicious. All staff members were extremely friendly and attentive. I really recommend The High Country Greek!
