Live music on nights between Thursday to Saturday really compliment the atmosphere here. The staff is attentive and focused. We love coming back. Our favorites are the Elk and Duck. Great mixed drinks and beautiful wines to choose from, as well as a local tap beer here and there. Food: 5
Second time eating at this fabulous restaurant. Outstanding food and presentation albeit last night the timing of our 4 entrees was “off” but was handled exceptionally well. Live jazz as well last night, couldn’t ask for more! The wild boar, lamb chops, elk and duck meals were done to perfection with delectable unique sides. Can’t wait to return! Food: 5
What a great addition to Fallbrook! With that being said.this is Fallbrook. The mostly Game menu is very innovative and different but please have a couple more ‘simple’ options. I am a vegetarian and don’t eat shell fish so the ONLY options for me were 2 ‘dinner’ salads. Not that hard to add something more Versatile. We sat at the bar and the service was a little rough at first but our bartender realized it and he turned it around quickly and was amazing! My husband had the Wild Boar dish, It was good but small. I had the Springs Greens Salad which was delicious with poached pears, goat cheese and the Buttermilk Chilie dressing was TO DIE FOR. Live music was a nice addition, lots of room for sitting, cocktailing or dinner. It was pretty empty on a Friday night. I think it would be more frequented if they have some small plates, appetizers, etc. Current menu is no apps or small plates. Just full entrees and desserts. The cocktails and atmosphere are great. Has potential but needs a lot of improvement.
Cocktails are awesome. Had the Boar dinner, and I was impressed. Compliments to the chef and mix master of the cocktails. I will be back and have already spread the good word ; Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The restaurant is an old house converted to a “art deco” style “classic’. The seating in the lounge was hot and uncomfortable. The food was sub-par, lacked flavor, and character. The lamb had a nice color and temp, but was a little tougher than it should be, wasn’t gamey at all but not upper level. It was properly cooked but that’s all that really had going for it. The manager “Tim” was nice and polite and David the bartender was attentive and quickly fixed the bitter tasting issues with the margarita. His Black Russian was on point! I will give it a better rating when the food tastes like the prices.
