Island House Cafe - Bonita Springs

Not a soul was in it at 1:30 pm . Should of been first red flag. We were Party of 7 easy going people hungry after leaving beach . Meals came out one by one 5-45 min apart . Very random and weird . Pizza was hardly cooked sent right back . Then one burger came out . The other we were told fell on floor had to remake . First burger was so gross couldn?t finish and he eats anything lol . Second came out 20 min later not as ordered and returned it. salad was came out correct . Grilled cheese was prepackaged shredded cheese that you sprinkle on food . Best part was it wasn?t all melted and I gagged when open it up because it wasn?t warm and melted . The finale was buffalo Mac and cheese never made it to table after 45 min . Waitress approached and said your not getting your meal . The cook just took it out to defrost it . We all looked at her in disbelief . She said I?m so sorry and embarrassed . I?m not charging you anything except the 4 beers . She stated the cook has a hangover and made a lot of mistakes and I?m so sorry . It was only those two employees . So beware before you enter this place it?s adorable inside and spotless but what a nightmare with the disgusting food and random food service one by one . I have never encountered something like this and never write reviews.

I am disappointed to have to change my original 5-star review from May 2021 to a 1-star. It appears that the restaurant is now under new ownership, with a limited menu and a lower quality pizza than before. The current offering is a ham and pineapple pizza, which is not as good as it used to be. The other pictures show what it used to be like. The restaurant used to have a casual island vibe with nice indoor and outdoor dining, and the pizza had great flavor with plenty of cheese and a nicely toasted crust. They usually had live music on Saturday nights on the patio, making it a great spot to enjoy a bite and a cold beer after a day at the beach.

This fantastic restaurant is conveniently located near a main road. The staff is welcoming and attentive. The lively bar area is perfect for sports fans, with numerous TVs. The atmosphere is filled with island vibes, and the beer is stored in a unique kayak. If the bar area is full, there are two other spacious rooms with both low and high top seating options to choose from.

Great flavors, and the ambience is so chill with groovy music. I highly recommend the Island House Salad, it is so flavourful. The prices were pretty fair, too.
