The being celiac it's important to identify gluten, and typically I'd steer away from a pizza/pasta place..... Good thing I took the time to check the menu, they have the dishes marked GF and offer the pizzas and pastas GF. Very impressed considering I'm in Bobcaygen. Went for the surf and turf and honestly struggled for the last bite, you know, that bite you want to end the meal on a savory note. Absolutely everything down to the garlic mashed potatos left me struggling with the last bite. It ended up being one of the black tiger shrimps : Definitely five stars and a note to return with my better half.

The service and food were excellent! We had the charcuterie board as an appetizer; and I had a special of bucatini with shrimp. He had a wonderful pizza the crust was thin and delicious. They had also had air conditioning which were glad to have after a fun filled day outdoors!

Went for lunch yesterday. Great butternut squash soup and pizzas. Service was friendly but terribly slow. Place was not busy so the wait was confusing to us. Others served before us but came in later. Our waitress explain but it was because we'd ordered the soup as an appetizer and so were bumped back for the main which didn't make any sense to us at all. It's not exactly downtown Toronto fine dining but we would go again. However somewhat expensive

I don't usually give reviews, but this restaurant deserves one from me!! The Pizzas are to die for. We also went for Dinner with an open mind, the Pasta was so refreshing and feels like home. Donattela will always be a stop I make while in Kawartha Lakes
