Black Dog Village Pub Bistro

I went with the family today (3 June) and was not in a while. I have a lot of food allergies so I always have to ask the important questions. I wanted the Veggie-Burger first, but asked what he did and had to happen. Then asked about the pad Thai. I mentioned that I had a cashew allergy and that I was gluten-free. Our server, Kristine went beyond and beyond and answered everything I asked with a smiling face and a lot of patience. She even made sure to tell the kitchen of my allergies and make sure that the sauce with the pad Thai was also safe for me. If I could give more than 5 stars, I'd give 10 or more. The Thai vegetable pad was terrible. It was sweet and tasted like vinegar. Of course the cook didn't cost it. Food: 1 Service: 4 atmosphere: 4

Lunch was a Ribeye Steak sandwich with frits. Both the sandwich and the pommes are the best I ever had. Food was incredible and service was spectacular. Next time I'm in Bayfield.

Delicious and fresh food with an elevated pub menu. Good choice and very good execution. This was offset set by higher than average prices and a bit steep for portion size. Service was slow and disorganized, had to wait over an hour for a burger and fish and chips 1 filet). If you have time to bask and take in the atmosphere of Bayfield Main Street and don’t mind a very leisurely pace it’s a nice place.

Amazing food, a beautiful little spot, and great service! A wonderful way to spend NYE!
