Room was spacious but was no microwave in room. Pool area the kids enjoyed and was indoor. But service and rooms do not match the cost. Could stayed at a neighboring hotel for fraction of cost and still very very close to Mall of America and light rail. But definitely not a luxury hotel as described.Nearby activities: Inside Mall of America
I’m giving 5 stars, because our stay here was magnificent! One of the best hotel stays I have had. The room was clean, the hotel was modern, and the staff was extremely nice. Anything we needed, they got it to us right away. Housekeeping was also great! One of the best parts was we only had to take the elevator down to the 2nd floor to get to the mall of America. So if you want to visit the mall of America, you will be very pleased if you stay at this hotel.
This is out of my price range, but it was offered as a replacement for a booking at a different hotel that didn't work out. The staff is very friendly, the hotel itself is nice, and it's nice to be able to walk directly to the mall without having to go outside when it's almost 100 degrees. It also has a deep soaking tub in the bathroom that I took advantage of, since I don't get to take baths at home. It's nice to have a taste of the finer things in life, the other guests at the hotel seem to know just by looking at you that you don't belong there. Major staring problem! I guess that's not the fault of the hotel itself though, it's just part of having wealthier guests.So if you don't like being stared at, dress like you have a $150k salary.Also, they don't have microwaves in the rooms.
Checked in online took all luggage and went to elevator only to find out mobile key was inactive we need to check in at front desk, then room rate included with breakfast but front desk didn’t gave us breakfast coupon that we booked room included with sent chat message to the rep and they said we need to go to front desk and collect our breakfast coupon they could have sent it to our room, however the person who checked us in was very friendly, we went to our room and my 4 months old baby was playing with toy and dropped from bed while we looked down to pick up toy and found out it was so much dirty and dust all over didn’t, we could not sleep properly as room won’t cool enough and my baby would cry all night my husband opened the filter of ac and it was covered with dirt all over the filter and our bed had a big stain not sure of what , I have attached pictures of all these three areas. Honestly paying for JW Marriott as per its brand name and not receiving that quality of cleanliness and hygiene is very disappointing.
I'm only giving it 4 stars do to the lack of a microwave in our room. I booked this using 38,000 Marriott points it was the best hotel I could find to use my point wisely. I was not disappointed. The bed was comfy, the art in the room was beautiful, shower was amazing not to mention the DEEP tub we booked a standard king room so we were pleased to see that it had a tub at all. Lots of outlets and charging ports. We didn't get a chance too see the pool because we were busy at the MOA which is very convenient only short trek from hotel elevator. It's definitely worth the money. We also got room service close to 10 pm, the club sandwich was delicious. Service was 10/10. We will definitely be back.
