Super sweet little place! It is very popular so you need to wait (line goes outside) to order. You do not want to order until there are places available for your party. Large selection of pastries, cookies and other breakfast meals. Excellent customer service! The only complaint I have is that after waiting so long to get my food (30 minutes in line) that my Gravy cookies were not hot and my Café Mocha was not hot..lukewarm best. I enjoy the chocolate croissant completely and will definitely go back for it!
Lived place with a line from the door on a Sunday is usually almost always a good sign. But my partner and I were left with mixed feelings. The cookie itself was not special. One of the chicken strips was a little pink in the middle (I understand the only condition that it is considered safe to consume is that it reaches a certain attempt). We were impressed by the waffle (so big and fluffy) and that the food was not fat. I think the next time we're in town, we can try again. Maybe earlier, so we can try some of their fresh pastries.
A great morning breakfast that has an amazing local quality to it. I enjoyed the breakfast platter and everything was very delicious. Local baked goods looked great too! It is a must stop if you are traveling through!!
My wife and I came here for a mid-morning breakfast and were absolutely blown away. In an era of smartphones and ?googling? phrases like ?restaurants near me? in search of the best ratings, we just saw this place from the road and pulled in. My wife had The Lookout and I ordered the Black Mountain Bennie. Hers was wholesome, the mixture of the chicken and gravy blended perfectly. The flavor of salt and pepper was great. The Black Mountain Bennie was equally as savory. Blending the ham, the Holidaise sauce, the seasonings, and the poached egg into one bite really made the meal for me. And the fresh asparagus added a touch of healthiness to the meal that I found very satisfying. Coupled with a little apple butter and the iced coffees that felt more naturally-flavored than anything we?ve ordered at any chain coffee store made this restaurant a staple for us if we ever visit Black Mountain again. We leave out tomorrow for Alabama. But we will definitely be back before we hit the road to try something different from their unique and expansive menu. This place should be your stop for breakfast.
