They feature traditional American options like burgers, chicken fingers, etc. and there is also a decent beer selection. This restaurant seems like a great local hang out. I went with the BLTA, with the A standing for avocado. It was a solid sandwich. It seemed like something I would've cooked at home. We also tried the Parmesan fries, which were delicious! The kids particularly enjoyed this restaurant, because of the casual atmosphere and availability of games. The staff is very friendly. Parking is limited in the Edgewood area, so be prepared to park on the street or make other arrangements.
This was my first time here. My daughter and I went around lunchtime. There were about 10 people in there (including us). We waited about 20-25 minutes for our food. I thought it would've been out quicker since there were not a lot of people in there. We sat across from the kitchen area and a majority of the people were ordering salads so I just couldn't understand why it took so long for our order. I spoke with the 2 ladies behind us and they did tell me that the restaurant was super slow with orders coming out today. I ordered the Jo Jo's burger and my daughter had chicken fingers and fries. The burger was pretty good, however my daughter didn't like the chicken fingers. She only got 2 chicken fingers and fries for $6.50, which I thought was a bit much for just 2 chicken fingers. Our waitress was very nice. I informed her that my daughter didn't like the chicken fingers she took them off the bill, but I told her I'd pay for the fries since she seemed to enjoy them. The 2 things I didn't like was our wait time (for what we ordered and the amount of people in there) and the price/quantity of the kids meal.
Disappointed. Went for the Restaurant Week special only to be told they weren't doing it. Had lunch anyway since I have wanted to try this place. Ordered a BLT with avocado. Mediocre at best. Bacon pre cooked- I saw it over the grill and it crumbled into dust while trying to eat the sandwich, avocado was not ripe and Texas toast was small and thin. I could do better at home. Despite their being only 2 people in the place it took 25 minutes to get my food. Won't eat here again for anything. Sad I wasted a restaurant week meal here.
Out of towners. Based on the 4 star rating and price that is why we selected it. I would say it's on par for the area. Not amazing and not horrible. The service was good. The food left a bit to be desired. Began the meal with hummus and toasted pita. Run of the mill, nothing memorable. My partner got the fish tacos, with a side of slaw. The slaw seems to be pickled in some sort of mint liquor. Unique, but maybe left better to just top the tacos. The tacos themselves were reported to be decent, but the tortilla was a bit past charred. I ordered the Babs. Burger with bacon and egg. It seemed everything came with JoJo's sauce. A spicy mustard mayo concoction. It can't seem to decide which side of the flavor palette it wants to fall on, spicy or savory. The bacon was cold on the ends, the burger was also less then memorable along with the fries ordered as a side. Get there early as parking does fill up fast. Wouldn't go out of my way to return. Best of luck.
Flew into town, Uber'd in/out, good thing, next to no parking/cute neighborhood. Tried my hand foolishly at the Italian next door (packed , ended up at JoJo's, thank the lord because the other option was a dry cleaners ; Thx Yelp mobile app. Live music up front, booth in the back. Opted for the steak, tater, grilled veges, and a drafty kilt. Was not disappointed. Crowd was local, and friendly. Shout out to the live music man (did not catch name but kudos for these three tunes in particular: 1 Bad Leroy Brown 2 Windfall 3 Redemption Song
