Amelia's - Bharatpur

Wow! A magnificent time at Amelia's! Our server David was very charming and helpful. He recommended an off menu special in the blackened salmon that was very good! The ambiance was very quaint, though the music in the dining room was a bit drab. We will certainly come back the next time we are in town visiting our daughter!

It’s a classic Italian restaurant with plenty of the standards you want plus some variety of interesting alternatives. Service was attentive, and indoor and outdoor seating are all charming.

I got the fettuccini Alfredo and my boyfriend got the lobster ravioli which we both enjoyed our meals. The lobster ravioli was a small portion size which is why I’m giving 4 stars. The Alfredo was much bigger and it was super creamy. Our waiter was very nice and attentive, and our food came out quickly. The restaurant is very nice inside and decorative, also very clean. It is definitely a nice establishment and I would return but be prepared it is really pricey

Was hesitant to dine here with the mixed reviews but so glad we did! Celebrated our 7th anniversary here while in Gainesville. Such a beautiful and charming building and atmosphere. Our waitress was wonderful and attentive. We had the Caprese appetizer, Cesar salad (upgrade to the Cesar!! So good! pesto linguine shrimp Florentine. Entrees were generous and we brought a lot home. Our waitress congratulated us on our anniversary and sent us with a complimentary dessert. Other reviews complained about slow service but I saw it as they are not rushing you like most restaurants. It’s a place to go enjoy your time and relax. We walked over from our hotel so no parking issues but there is plenty of 2 hour parking all over the area that we were told is not really enforced. It was too cold to dine outside but I’m recommending it to all my fam in the area because I bet when the weather is nicer that is a great experience. Thanks for a wonderful evening Amelia’s :

This hidden gem is tucked away off the busy streets behind the Hippodrome. The food was amazing, the Florida grouper and lobster ravioli specials were a wonderful addition to the regular menu. We will definitely be back again soon.
