Schalander Hausbrauerei Berlin

Great place. From the beaten path. Friendly staff. The number of outdoor seats. 4.5 euros for a pilgrim. Can visit here every day!

I thought we came out of the cold and have a beer and check out the menu at Schalander after visiting the historic Christmas market at RAW. This was the second time that I visited the place, but sad, the first time that I visited the staff seemed to alert me that I sat at the table, this was in the summer of 2017. Three of us sat down and waited to be served. After 10 minutes I made my way to the bar and thought Schalander could have a self-service policy. The waiter obviously saw me, but didn't recognize me obviously busy, I thought. When I went to other tables, I realized that Schalander had a table service policy back to my table. We waited 10 minutes, then in our despair we tried to cry, cry, nothing caught the attention of the man behind the bar. We just got up, left and went somewhere else on Simon Dach Straße (Primitiv Bar). The food and beer may be great in Schalander, I wouldn't know the service stinks!

Cosy neighbourhood corner (Ecker) A wonderfully relaxed restaurant mostly specialising in Baden food. It has weekly menus as well as staples. At the moment Christmas fare including goose, duck etc. We opted for Schnitzel- 2 pork and one veal. We chose brägle (potatoes with spec...and spring onions) and our son had spätzle and all had a cucumber vinegrette salad. Very enjoyable. If you have a big appetite Flammkuchen is a must. Menus are available in English too.

Schalander Wirts Hausbrauerei is a first rate restaurant and brewery located in the neighbourhood area of Berlin that is called Friedrichshain.Housed in an excellent old building with great outside seating'inside Schalander Wirts Hausbrauerei has a fresh clean interior with great seating options.It has a nice...bar and bar area and great light fixtures.They have many interesting items throughout the whole interior and it is one of my favourite places to visit when ever I' am in Berlin.They offer a fine food menu in here plus a fine selection of microbrewed beers which are excellent and at a decent price.We had just visited Straßenbräu and Home World beer bar and as we were near here'decided to go in here for a few beers. We went here in the early evening and this place was very busy but we managed to get a table just off the main bar area and ordered a couple of glasses of Schalander beers which were excellent as was the price.Schalander Wirts Hausbrauerei is a great place to visit if ever you are in Berlin as the beers are excellent as are the meals and the staff are first rate.Located on Bänschstraße very easy to find from Frankfurter Allee S-U-Bahn or tram stop walk along Frankfurter Allee and then turn right onto Pettenkoferstraße and then turn left onto Bähnschstraße. The stuff is really nice in here , the beer is awesome and the food , that's comes from other space! Just terrific! We've orders steaks with over potato and green beans and I can't express with words what it feels like ! 100% recommendable!
