FOREIGN AFFAIRS - Berlin

Die Küche hat sich wahnsinnig Mühe gegeben, ein Menue zum Valentinstag zu kreieren. Sehr lecker. Der Küchenchef hat sich persönlich am Tisch nach unserem Befinden erkundigt. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für ein Restaurant in einem 4-Sterne Hotel nähe Gendarmenmarkt war für das Valentinsmenue unschlagbar. Wir haben den Abend sehr genossen und können nur empfehlen, hier öfter nach Specials zu suchen. Oder einfach so, den Abend im Schaukelstuhl an der Bar ausklingen zu lassen. Es lohnt sich !

Since we did not agree with the offered table, another one was offered after 5 minutes and kindly a glass of champagne was offered to us. The food was excellent and the service was very warm and friendly at any time.

The restaurant does not use open table anymore so we showed up and they were closing for the night.

The menu given by this restaurant on Open Table is out of date. They do not currently offer a vegan menu. The current menu does still pride itself on having vegan options although that was only one item. When we went there on a Fri evening they had sold out of that item by 7.30pm. All the chef could offer as an alternative was boiled potatoes and vegetables. If you are going to advertise that you cater for vegan diets you need to deliver. We left and went elsewhere for dinner.

Everything except sitting, because a little cold and impersonal, was very good. You're welcome.
