Acres At Ashridge House - Berkhamsted

The dining experience had the potential to be worthy of five stars, but a few elements fell short. The choice of music was quite odd and created an atmosphere reminiscent of the 1980s with its "Frankie Goes to Hollywood" vibe. A more classic selection would have matched the setting better. Unfortunately, we were seated behind a wall and felt a bit neglected; we didn't receive any bread rolls upon our arrival, prompting us to ask for them after noticing the butter on the table. Additionally, after the first round, we had to serve our own wine as the waitstaff seemed to be absent. By 9 PM, the atmosphere felt lifeless, which was disappointing because the beautiful setting of Ashridge House had initially drawn us there.

Great food and service. would give five stars, but the acoustic in the room is not great and it is very loud, so hard to hear about the table and at the order. some softer furniture like tablecloths and curtains would help to improve the ambiente.

I loved everything about our experience. eating was amazing, the personal was so beautiful and the environment breathtaking. will definitely be back.

We celebrated a 40th birthday and had a very special time. the waiting staff was brilliant with a nice sharpener and extremely helpful. the menu was not extensive that I found a little out of the first putting, but it makes me something that I would not normally do and very enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to going back. the bar and the opposite were beautiful.

Fantastic experience! The food was excellent, and the ambiance and setting were very pleasant. Overall, a wonderful place.
