Boochman Kombucha - Berkeley

My family and I visit the stand at the Palo Alto Farmers' Market regularly and have always loved the kombucha and the teas available. We especially appreciate the friendly service we have always received from the staff! I noticed the negative review regarding the treatment of the Asian customer, and I have to say that has not at all been my own experience as an Asian myself.

Boochman Kombucha is my favorite one stop shop for my kombucha fix. The kombucha variety is excellent. I patronize the Palo Alto Farmers Market location and love it. The service is great. The young woman serving the kombucha is very pleasant. I am an African American consumer and sometimes it can be difficult to be treated as an equal customer. But the woman at the stand is so nice. I really feel welcomed at her booth. And she’s great to chat with too.

We are frequent visitors to the Palo Alto Farmers Market, and Boochman Kombucha is always a standout on our Sunday outings. The staff is incredibly friendly, especially towards the children. The kombucha is of top-notch quality, as well as their soaps – they are soft, smooth, and smell wonderful. Our child even says, "I love kombucha."

I discovered Boochman at the Palo Alto farmers market after becoming disappointed with the high sugar content of store-bought kombuchas. I am thrilled with their excellent kombucha! Unlike many other brands, they have not compromised on quality. While I could learn to make my own, I already ferment other foods and prefer not to take on the responsibility of caring for a scoby. Plus, the flavors at Boochman are simply the best. The booth always has a line, but Betul, who is often working there, recognizes regular customers like me who come with empty jugs for a refill. The interactions with Betul are always pleasant, and I can see she has a personal connection with many customers. Everyone seems to look forward to their visit to the Boochman booth. Even first-timers appreciate Betul's descriptions of the different flavors. I also love that they will hold my kombucha in a cooler while I finish shopping at the market. Boochman offers superb kombucha and a great atmosphere.
