To summarize: Food is OK, reasonable priced, but you get what you pay for. I 'd expected some more fish dishes considering Scheveningen to be a coastaltown with lots of fishing industry around, but this is a matter of taste and restaurants choice. But the waiters really need to get the timing and hospitality straight. The patrons were friendly, but a little bit cold and distant. They seem to have little eye for the customer (clearing table after finishing, asking for dessert.. . In my opionion this makes all the difference. Our experience: After a short stroll on the beach we set out to find a place to have dinner. When we entered the establishment an unhappy potential customer walked out apparently after having to wait a long time to be served. Not a good omen, but we decided to go for it anyway. We wanted a place inside near the window for 4 persons and the only table was just being vacated by the last guests. The table was quickly cleaned, but after that it took a while before we were asked for drinks. Drinks were served eventually but they got the order for our little daughter wrong. No worries, it could happen to anyone. It took over 10 minutes afterwards to get out order taken and another 20 minutes to have our starters served. We had bread with garlicbutter and aioli. We were served tasteful bread, not the usual french white pain usually in Dutch restaurants/brasseries. at 3/4 's of our starter dish the main dish was served together with another round of drinks which we didn 't order. Luckily enough it was the same order as the first one so after swapping one drink it was settled. Strange but, we wanted another round anyway, so this worked out OK. The main dish was was the ladyburger (200 gr. of beefburger with fries and slad, chicken- sate (a typical Dutch dish based on Indonesian food influences. This usually consists of chicken or pork filets with a peanutbased sauce , pork- sate and a children menu for our daughter. The food was tasteful and nicely presented. When we finished it took another half hour before our table was cleaned and so we took the inititiative to ask for desert and coffee and check ourselves to prevent more waiting.

Perfect location for breakfast! You get a huge breakfast for only 6€, including a coffee and an orange juice! Perfect location and very kind personal!
