The Publyk House - Bennington

Very nice place...food was exellent...I had a spinach salad with blue cheese and maple covered pecans and dried cranberries...a very lovely combination...sour...sweet and creamy blue cheese...my wife had pasta and the eggplant rolotini...she loved it...they have a nice wine list with a few of our favorites and a new favorite she tried a Lodi CA red blend...delicious...I had an Orange Negroni...also delicious went well with the salad. It wasn't busy but we weren't here in the high season...staff were helpful and very congenital...our waiter...Noah was full of good suggestions and knew his menu offerings really well.. ThecPublyk House definitely a spot to return to in future trips to Bennington.

My son and I celebrated an early Easter dinner here. He chose it. The food was good. Yet more important...the atmosphere was nice, cozy, clean, and most important for me was all the staff treated all of us customers the same. Meaning regardless of being vanilla or chocolate we felt appreciated and respected in this establishment. Awesome job!!! Thank you.

We have eaten here many times over the years. It is not my go to place, however we will dine with others when asked. The Good: Nice atmosphere, good salad bar, good baked potatoes. The not so good: Prime rib, grizzly tough. Steak, over- cooked and dry. Lobster tails, a total disaster, BBQ grilled flavor and dryyyyyyy. This place use to be so much better, I honestly think they could use a new chef. Oh, and it is not cheap.
