Mesón De Tapas - Lisbon

Great food, but some busy waiters may not pay attention when we finish our meal. High risk for walking out without paying!

Tapas with influences from Portuguese ingredients. The food and drink I had were nice and surprisingly cheap the ramekin of cod and chickpeas was good, as too the toasf with cod and pepper. The service was disappointing and quite annoying. Sat at one of the bar seats, initially I seemed to be suffering from invisible man syndrome. When I was finally seen to, the two waiting staff were both miserable. Finally, when paying, the waiter needed to get change for my €20 note but decided to serve a couple of beers while doing so, keeping me waiting even longer.

Great tapas with basque and Portuguese influence. Good wine list, and excellent wines of the day. Seat in the bar for a more authentic experience. Despite the pandemic times, very clean and safe, and professional and friendly staff.

A Mesón de Tapas é um excelente exemplo de como uma remodelação por vezes faz toda a diferença. Esta foi a segunda vez que visitei o restaurante desde a sua modificação e não podia ter ficado mais agradada com a refeição. Carne tenra, macia e suculenta. Excelente apresentação desde o prato principal à sobremesa. A única razão pela qual não dou 5 estrelas é porque o atendimento não foi o mais rápido e eficaz. De resto, pretendo repetir.

Num dos mais movimentados centros comerciais de Lisboa é uma boa opção em termos de menu/preço. Por vezes temos fila de espera mas compensa. O atendimento é rápido e prestável. A ementa é variada tem uma boa carta de vinhos.
