This was the most delicious place in the area. I am SO bummed I didn't get to eat there more often. I am devastated it is closed. The best 5 star food one could comfortably eat in sweats in a relaxed environment. The entire menu had such a variety and was all SO good. Lasagne, sushi rolls, specialty chicken, the drunken toast.... Please please re open!!! Dream tacos is so cute, but it has nothing on the kitchen.
We love eating at this restaurant for many reasons! I love that my salmon is always cooked perfectly perfect. The chef and wait staff are so kind and accommodating the menu has so many diverse and interesting choices. We have been coming for years and it just gets better and better! Thank you Jonathan and Trace
I was with some coworkers, so I actually completely forgot to take photos. The server was really nice, she seemed to be very attentive so that was a good start. The place looked clean and tidy, you pay at the counter when you leave. All pretty standard for a little place like this. If you don't care about all the details, just skip to the end. As for the food, I had my mind made up about what I was going to eat before I even got there. I wanted the blackened catfish, but the meatloaf daily special was just really calling to me because I hate ketchup and I love when meatloaf is served without it. lol So that's what I got, my coworkers got the tandoori chicken, a bacon mushroom burger, and the tarragon chicken sandwich.Meatloaf with tomato onion gravy This was delicious. I mean... like really good. The meatloaf was super moist and didn't come out looking like a brown brick covered in red mess. The tomato gravy was so flavorful! The consistency was excellent, it wasn't too runny, it wasn't lumpy, it was perfect. The pieces of onion were bigger than I was expecting, but they worked so well in the gravy and they were so soft. But really... the star of this dish was definitely the mashed potatoes. I could have had just a big ol' bowl of those and been totally fine, or maybe with the tomato gravy on top. They were buttery and just... perfection. I can't think of another way to say it. I would eat those every day. lol The one thing that was kind of... meh was the green beans. I eat a lot of green beans, and I only eat canned. These green beans tasted and looked canned. Perfect for me, but most people don't love those at a restaurant. The only reason I'm even mentioning this as an issue is because when I make them at home, they're still flavorful. These were not. They were very bland. As for the reviews I got from everyone else:The tarragon chicken sandwich was just good, the fries were great (which is true, I had some and they were . The chipotle aioli sauce was so good I actually paid for two containers to go. I mean... it's reeeally good. The burger was really good, and the tandoori chicken guy wished he'd ordered a burger. The tandoori chicken was just okay. My coworker who ordered it is originally from Bangladesh and he was kind of disappointed in the sauce, but mostly because it came with yellow rice (which I think may have been saffron rice, not sure . Traditional tandoori chicken is served with white jasmine or basmati rice because tandoori chicken is incredibly flavorful. He said the sauce was good, it just didn't give him tandoori chicken vibes.Overall, I would totally eat here again. I found like... 15 things on the menu that I NEED to try. I've given it four stars for now because I REALLY liked my meal, except for the green beans, and because of the tandoori chicken review. I'll definitely be back (and will get pictures next time, sheesh and my review might eventually change to 5 stars if I find enough things that blow my mind. Definitely worth trying this place, just some pretty solid food.
Wow what a nice surprise! What this place lacks in atmosphere they make up for with the food. We got the hamachi appetizer and had blackened mahi and a salmon dish from the specials menu and both were outstanding. They don't serve booze so it's BYOB or you can walk next door to their taco joint and get beer and margaritas which we did (the spicy mango margarita was great! . It's in a strip mall and the interior and patio tables do not do the food here justice it was a white tablecloth worthy meal and with a few upgrades to improve the ambiance they could charge much more. Great find in Bedford near DFW airport!
