Tudor's Biscuit World is especially ubiquitous in West Virginia. It's fast and easy, so I went through to get a cookie. Another thing you might think of is a roasted apple biscuit! I've never had one, but if you're in the mood for a nice sweet/salted combo, that could fit. Add a chocolate milk and you have a nice little food.
Regional chain, but why they are not in other states, I have no idea. Who doesn't like a biscuit sandwich. It's good, but unhealthy for you to eat. What is not to like.
Very nice place for breakfast in Beckley, WV I learned about Biscuit world on my recent trips to West Virginia. Until this visit, I had never visited or ate any of these places. There seems to be at least one location in every city. There are over 70 of these restaurants with many of them in WV. I have eaten alone at four of these sites on this trip and was always satisfied. This visit was no different. It is located in an independent building on the corner of Harper Road and Harvey Street. Parking is quite limited and is only in front of and behind the terrain. There are drive and feed options. For the Dine-ion options, order at the counter and get a number that allows them to bring your food to the table. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, but I like their breakfast very much. Your cookies are very good. The tea is excellent and their eggs are cooked to order. A classic breakfast is about $6 and you get 2 eggs made to order and your choice of bacon, sausage or ham, and toast or a buttermilk biscuit. It is a good amount of food at a price. The staff was efficient and very pleasant. The dining room was a mixture of stands and tables. The restaurant was clean. The food came out quickly and was delicious. This particular situation had a certain kind of jam that was only available at certain times of the year. I would definitely recommend this to my fellow travellers who are hungry and visit the Buckhannon area.
We had never been to a Tudor’s Biscuit World. For a fast food breakfast sandwich, it takes first place. The biscuit was delicious. There was a generous portion of bacon. The egg was appropriately cooked. We picked a table and the staff took our Mary B and biscuit gravy platter to our table. There was very little wait. We did not observe a lot of takeout business. The other Tudor’s in Beckley might have had a longer wait because of its large takeout business.
