But now that The restaurant scene has literally blown up in CLE unfortunately this place has just been outdated. In fact there is not much I can see that Red Lobster has done to try to reinvent themselves however their cheesy garlic biscuits are already a force to be reckoned with. This time however the biscuits tasted day old. I do applaud the service though. We were seated promptly and our waitress kept our endless shrimp coming (we never had an empty shrimp plate (even took a few Home). There are six flavors to choose from for the endless shrimp platter and for $15.99 I got my money's worth. The shrimp Alfredo one was actually pretty different than the rest, came with a small plate of fettucini as well! Only 3 beer draft Choices to choose from though. All in all, this place is on par with an Applebee's. There are better places to choose from even along the same street
This was the most dumbfounding experience I have ever had at a restaurant. I went in with my handicapped mother, who needs a table because of her handicap, not a booth. Requested said table and the hostess leads us to a booth. Asked if we could have the empty table 6 inches away (or one of the three other free tables in that section) and she said there was no server for that table and we would have to have the booth. There was a family at the table next to the empty one so I am not sure first of all how there would be no server for that section nor how the server for the booth that was almost touching the table could not just turn around? Nope the hostess said, we could only do the inaccessible booth. Needless to say we didn't stay. Honestly felt discriminated against. It's a shame really because I had been to this location several times over the years and always had good service and good food. This frankly embarrassing and stupefying experience will keep me from trying again.
Why all the bad reviews? The food was hot and on point. You have to order one of the feasts. I got the ultimate feast and paid $3.99 to upgrade the shrimp to their coconut shrimp (10/10 and totally worth it). Their butter must have crack in it. SOOO good! I had the lobster (since that's what they're known for). I paid another $1.99 to upgrade one of the sides to their brussel sprouts. Mmm. Plus, the service was great. What's there not to love?
Came in tonight for the endless shrimp deal and I'm so disappointed. Although we were seated quickly for a Friday night, now I see why. It took over 15 mins for someone to come by the table. Luckily we had sat for so long that we knew what we wanted immediately. I ordered the pound of crab legs and my guest ordered the endless shrimp. Guys, these crab legs were so TINY. The claws were the size of my thumb, they were pale and cold. My broccoli was cold. Mashed potatoes. Cold.. the upside is that our server Dazzlin was pleasant and polite, she took my plate immediately no questions asked. But the good quality is awful! My guest did not enjoy her shrimp either. The soy ginger didn't have any ginger flavor and instead simply tasted of soy sauce and the shrimp scampi wasn't seasoned at all, just sitting in a pool of butter. Very disappointed in a location I've been visiting for years. I sent my food back, hoping for a fresh plate of crab legs to come back, only to get the same place reheated (and now completely dried out) brought back to me! We asked for the manager and he graciously took my plate back to the kitchen.. i decided to start on my caesar salad while I waited, only to find a little friend on top.. a hair, sitting on top of my Parmesan cheese.. delightfully. I will say this, the staff was gracious and understanding, the kitchen seems to be the issue here.
My server seemed like he has never ate or been served at a restaurant before. He didn 't say anything to me or my company not even a Hello, what can I get you today? Nothing...... just stood over my table with his pen and paper ready, it was weird. I had to walk out after my shrimp cocktail was served frozen and after arguing with our server that the amount of shrimp cocktail that was severed was incorrect then what was listed on the menu..... There are list of unprofessionally things this young man did, its just too much to bring up again. He clearly did not want to be there and seemed like he was intentionally not doing his job correctly. Very very very disrespectful. Save your time and do not go here
