Red beans are some of the best I've had. Yams and mustard greens are always on point. This is authentic soul food. You can't miss with this place.

The best homemade cooking in Baton Rouge! I just moved back home from Dallas and have tried so many different places to eat and I am so happy with the Owens cooking....Thanks so much! For always sending me fresh homemade meals. The Okra and Tomatoes are so good!!!

Going to give it five stars because I support small businesses. The chicken was amazing. I had the fried chicken special with two sides. I had red beans and rice and mashed potatoes. First, the bad. The potatoes were bland and seemed like they were boxed. A little salt and pepper solved that. Now, the red beans were very good. They had this surprising sweetness that I have never had before. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I will definitely order again and try other items.

I'm not sure what it is but it looks like melted plastic or some inedible object on my biscuit. My eggs were not as I requested (o er easy) as well

5 star service, quality and professionalism... Always an enjoyable experience.
