China Taste - Baton Rouge

I've been visiting this restaurant for years and have always had a great experience—until today. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was very disappointing. I was unhappy with the price I paid for what turned out to be the worst food I've ever ordered. The person at the counter insisted there was enough sweet and sour sauce for my chicken, but it was actually lacking, and the crab Rangoon was underfilled. The chicken seemed like it had been repurposed from earlier, as if it had been picked up and then returned hours later. On a positive note, I was able to enjoy the lo mein with vegetables. I hope this was just a one-time issue, but I’m hesitant to return anytime soon to find out. I used to really like the food here, and I’m not sure what went wrong this time. I genuinely hope others have a better experience when they dine here.

I ordered the fried chicken wings and veggie fried rice. The wings were fried perfectly and well-seasoned, but the rice was extremely hard and bland. The peas and carrots tasted as if they had been quickly thrown into the rice straight from the freezer, and they were also quite tough. I've been coming here for years since I live just down the street, but this is my third disappointing meal. Three strikes and you're out, I guess! I'll probably head to China Kitchen or China One instead, where the Chinese food is consistently delicious and fresh.

I ordered the Mongolian beef, and I was quite disappointed. The portion was just a small container filled mostly with onions and green peppers, and there were only seven tiny pieces of meat. The last time I ordered this dish, I got a much larger serving with significantly more meat. They also included just about eight bits of rice, which is not acceptable. Overall, not a good experience.

The costumer service here is ABSENT, they were rude on the phone when I placed my order, then we somehow made the whole transaction of card and food without saying a word! I've never seen anything like this in my LIFE! 100 percent do not recommend, will not be back. Only one is given because 0 is not possible.

Food Wasn't Good. Combo Rice was Hard or Under Cooked. Triple Delight Didn't Have any Flavor. I Ordered it Extra Spicy and I got Super Bland. Waste of My Time and Money. 1st and Last Time Ordering from China Taste!
