We had a fantastic stay at The Bear Inn. The room was incredibly cozy and the bathroom was well equipped, both of which had been recently renovated. It was a quiet room, which made for a great night's sleep. There were many special touches in the room that added to our experience. The staff welcomed us warmly and provided excellent customer service throughout our stay. The breakfast was incredibly delicious with a wide variety of choices. We would highly recommend this place.

This lovely and welcoming pub is fantastic in every way, and I don't say that lightly. The menu is top-notch, and I highly recommend trying the rib burger. They have a wide variety of local ales that you can enjoy on the peaceful private sun deck or inside the cozy interior. It's just a short drive from the busy city center, making it the perfect place to unwind with incredibly friendly staff. As a Canadian, I strongly suggest trying the beer here.

We came to Sunday dinner on Easterday. very friendly and attentive staff esp maddie who took care of us. there was a series of beers, but I enjoyed the local moor brewery offers. the food was excellent with a baked hake and a pork that hit the mark. esp was good the grilled hispi kohl and the yorkshire pudding.

I love the bear. I've been driving there for over a decade, and it's never disappointed. never better than it is now, after a breathtaking renovation. I love to immerse in a pint, either inside or outside in the beer garden decking, which is a real sun protection. the personal is very quiet, which is perfect. Thank you!

Evening meal for 5 recently. Staff delightful, helpful, and friendly. Food absolutely delicious. In particular, my steak was one of the nicest I've had in a restaurant, very tender and perfectly cooked to medium rare. Highly recommended.
