Maxines's Cafe Bakery - Bastrop

This place doesn't need another glowing review, but hey, what the hell. I asked my friend Alessio in Community Gardens for a recommendation, but he was busy getting his new sports bar and restaurant ready for the Super Bowl. So I trusted my diet Spidey Sinn and chose this place at his old school façade. I'll stop here when the food and Lacey and all the staff were brilliant. P.s. I drove from Bastrop at least 500 times in my life and to Lost Pines about 10 times, for the life of me, I don't know how I never was the city. But now I love it so much of only 2 hours I want to move here. The breakfast dish was so good

A great breakfast joint! They offer great variety in the morning and have great coffees too. The eggs Benedict is amazingly good and rich. The pancakes are hilariously huge. And the stack of 12 is deadly along with the 1/2 pound of bacon. If your interested in having a good time with good food in the morning in a great atmosphere come here.

Excellent breakfast. I had the chicken waffles. Perfect. The chicken is pounded and perfectly breaded and fried. Syrup and/or white gravy is offered on the side. Egg dishes are large and also very good. It can get busy with a line. Choose eating at thebar. Service is excellent. Rated highly by Texas Monthly. Iced tea is excellent, served in a large Mason jar. Ask for lemon.
