Haweswater - Barton

We had a wonderful evening at the Haweswater Hotel. Our room was cozy and well-appointed, the food was delightful, and the location was perfect for a secluded getaway. The staff were all very friendly, especially the woman who served us breakfast (unfortunately, I didn't catch her name) - she was charming and had a fantastic sense of humor. Additionally, we appreciated that the hotel is dog-friendly. Overall, we give the rooms a rating of 5.

This charming hotel is perfect for a relaxing retreat. It has a unique charm with cozy bedrooms, a beautiful drawing room, and inviting fires. The hotel is also very accommodating to dogs. The Dinner, Bed, Breakfast package is great value for money. The fillet steak was absolutely delicious. Rooms: 5 Service: 4 Location: 5

This restaurant is truly exceptional. It is a hidden gem, located in a private and secluded spot off the grid. We only stayed for one night, but we enjoyed afternoon tea in the main room with a Christmas tree, as well as dinner and breakfast in the brasserie. The staff were all lovely and unpretentious, making our experience perfect. The rooms were beautifully decorated in art deco style, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious. The views were breathtaking. The food and drinks menu was small but perfect, and both the dinner and breakfast options suited our taste.

An expensive two days in a delightful location. The hotel, its furnishings and its heating systems need some maintenance Rooms: Our room was in need of a great deal of repairs and maintenance Nearby activities: It's a long distance to other activities except for fell-walking. But the isolation contributes to the experience Walkability: It's impractical to walk to or from the hotel, unless going fell-walking Food drinks: Food is good but seriously expensive. The drinks selection is comprehensive, but notably costly Noteworthy details: The art-deco furnishings are interesting to look at, but impractical if you want to gather with friends for a chat or game of cards

One night stay for a 40th birthday celebration. Enjoyed a delicious meal in restaurant and stayed in the Lakeland suite. More expensive than other rooms but worth it for the balcony and views. Beautiful art deco hotel in stunning location with really helpful, friendly staff. Finished off our stay with a hearty breakfast before check out. Would definitely recommend. Rooms: 5
