Osamequin Nature Trails And Bird Sanctuary

The Nature Sanctuary is located on the Wampanaog Trail in Barrington and offers simple colour-coded hiking trails along the western shore of the 100 Acre Cove of the Barrington River. Dogs are allowed on a leash.

It is a good place to fish, for hiking there are very short distances. but it is a very beautiful place.

Osamequin is a beautiful small place right on the Wampanoag Trail in Barrington. It is flat, the trails are well marked and there are many beautiful small benches furnished in very good locations to sit and enjoy views of 100 Acre Cove. There are very beautiful views of the salt marshes. I find it very quiet just before sunrise when the fog covers everything. You can walk most of the trails in a good hour and it would be a good place to take the children for a short walk.

Really nice waterviews as well as a bird watching station. Waters edge access to see fresh muscles and aquatic birds.
