The Italian Eatery - Barrie

CANNED mushrooms on a veal sandwich. Not acceptable. Bun too big for the veal. I will try again in a month or so to see if anything changes.

My first try at the i ragazzi eatery they were closed even though the hours showed they should have been open. Not a good start. Having wanted to find good Italian in the barrie area since I moved here. So I didn't return for 6 months. Now. Having found myself in the area insaw they had changed their name to the Italian eatery and are now open. Went in. Ordered the veal with the works. And. It was very good. Pros: I noticed their bread is home made. Very nice. Cons: seems a bit disorganized. They were stumbling over themselves versus having set tasks. Overall. I would eat there again. So I'm 50/50 currently. The next visit will win me over. Also interested in their catering. That will be another story to tell.

Just had lunch and it was amazing!!! True authentic Italian food. Congratulations Tony & Paul!!! Looking forward to coming back soon. Pompeo and Anna

Drop in to have a quick bite and notice the business is now under new management and has rebranded.Now known as the Italian Eatery. Enjoyed the chicken parmesan sandwich and the homemade cannoli was delicous. Friendly staff The Pizza is a must the next time I stop in.

I don't usually write reviews but this experience left me so frustrated that this needed to be shared to prevent othersfrom the same experience.We had a group of 6 of us. We arrived at the restaurant at 7 p.m. on a friday evening only to find out it was closed for the night! On a friday? Google searches showed them Open until 9 p.m...We heard great things about their pasta specials from co-workers and were really looking forward trying this place out. But we ended up going to Milestones instead.We called the next day for explanation after driving from Innisfil and were greeted by a rude italian gentleman who informed us that they would be open again the following week, but offered no explanation for the previous evening. To my knowledge they are still closed. I can see why.
