The Swan - Bampton

This was our second visit. The first time we came during the stricter phase of the pandemic, so the clear plastic dividers between the tables felt a bit out of place, although the service was friendly. We had an overnight stay that included dinner and breakfast, both of which were very good. This time, we enjoyed a long Friday dinner, and it was excellent. The atmosphere was very friendly.

This place is not your typical pub. The menu offers something truly unique, featuring well-prepared and beautifully presented dishes. The flavors are a fantastic blend, and the staff is very friendly and helpful, always with a sense of humor. They even accommodated our small group with ease! I will definitely be returning.

I had a lovely meal here on a Saturday night. It's advisable to make a reservation for a table. I highly recommend the crab starter and the skate wing for the main course—definitely skip dessert! I was with friends who were seated across from me, and they mentioned that the menu changes regularly.

The food was so good! not to blame, we went there to a birthday meal and it was not disappointed. we asked for a table on the side, because we had a dog with us and that staff also arranged. they told us it could wait a bit for eating because they cook it from fresh, but that was good as we were told and it was really worth waiting!

Had a fantastic overnight stay at this place, Paul and Donna couldn't have done more to make us welcome and we felt really looked after during our stay. The room was excellent and had all the luxuries we required and more. We also went to Spelt for dinner (which they also own) and had a fantastic meal. Thanks to everyone for a wonderful stay!
