Clarks Inn Badami

Supposedly a 3 star hotel, but in fact it is a third class hotel. We booked this hotel because of good experience at Clark's Hampi. But we were very disappointed with Clark's Badami. The linen and towels were filthy, torn and yellow. We asked for a replacement but found them similarly sub standard. The bathroom fittings were old, rusted, leaking, dysfunctional. The toiletries and tea bags were of lowest quality. They could not be used, so we bought our own from Badami market. Overall we were left with a feeling of being in an unhygienic, dirty environment. The restaurant had very few options, and breakfast was stale. It made us sick. Except for the location, I would not recommend this hotel. The wi-fi did not connect.

Located at Badami town main circle, 10 mins walk to Badami caves. Rooms clean and big. Service needs improvement. Have a long food menu, but serves only Indian cuisine. Ordered Veg tikka, but got burnt tikkas twice, finally had to cancel order. Overall good stay, although a bit pricey. Rooms: Good clean room Food drinks: Improve quality and service. They have international tourists as well. Rooms: 4
