It is very prominently located just a few steps from the mountain station of the summer mountain railway (a very popular cable car with tourists and hikers). Anyone who breaks from the mountain station to a hike and the treetop trail inevitably passes. This is a great location advantage that already contributes to the success of a local. So I was very excited about the culinary offer. I'm sending out my disappointment. But perhaps for the beer garden I visited are just different criteria – and the hotel and restaurant are in a completely different league? It would be desirable. Because what I experienced in the beer garden was really under the whole cannon. The restaurant menu features solid Swabian dishes, vasper and children's offers. In the spacious beer garden, which borders directly to the building of the mountain station of the summer mountain railway and is very sunny, however, only a limited map applies. This is certainly geared to the needs of hikers and athletes and mountain bikers: sausages, meat-laden, vesper, sausage salad, small nutritious dishes. A clear selection of popular drinks: soft drinks, coffee, beer, wine, water. Sheet metal cake in various variants. It's self-service. The area is very spacious and you feel almost like the folk festival. At the same time, the solar plateau is very welcoming and you can easily turn into large groups. Either strengthen before a company or relax after an experience. The counter is huge. On the right side, the drinks are beaten, on the left. All well understood and super clear. Behind the bar is only youthful, dynamic staff. Actually, I decided to get a number after the food order called after completion. I was so surprised I didn't have to wait... After visiting the treetop run I wanted to eat some freshness on an unusually hot spring Saturday. My choice fell on the salad with Balkan cheese. The first disappointment felt like a misunderstanding. Instead of the expected salad plate I have a cardboard and a few cheese cubes in a plastic box. A packed dressing in a portion size. Even in the onboard Bistro of the Deutsche Bahn, it is more human. At first, I guess I got a little irritated, but then I'll get over to my fate. I had to meet. The Cola was in a bottle. I don't want to talk about the taste of the salad. The contents of the cardboard box consisted of 90% thread salad leaves and 10% corn grains and 2 completely taste-neutral tomato ants and 3 cucumber discs. Only the "Balkankäse" (what is this?) was halfway edible by the brine in which it floats. A real disaster. To demand 6.90 euros, about 6.90 euros are too much. This seemed to me to be colossal after soulless mass destruction – without gastronomic ambitions and any fundamental obligation. To blame the young people behind the vase, I seemed inappropriate. So I am mutilated by the green and enjoyed the sun for it (and was looking forward to my dinner. Sitting in this huge beer garden on the way can be at tables with chairs (sometimes even with tablecloths and those with beer benches. The well maintained and modern toilets can be hidden away and easily, so not the customers of this free offer. I want to retest the Auerhahn from the inside. The beer garden is in any case a great disappointment and will not fulfill the recommendations given to me.
