Restaurante Mercado do Peixe - Aveiro

If you like efficient service with a smile, then this is not the restaurant for you (lunchtime, 7th Sept).

The fish of the day is presented to you before you order. Wine was good, mussels and fish were delicious. Loved it ! Settings is lovely, staff is diligent and efficient.

A lady at toursit infromation recommended this restaurant. It is close to harbor and serves fresh fish which caught at the morning. We can select favorit fresh fish from the kitchen with very reasonable price. We enjoy very much and it is indeed wonderful lunch in Aveiro.

Best steak I ever had and great service. It doesn’t get better than this place and my family loved it!

By the time we got to the market at about 3:40 p.m., the fresh fish and meat vendors were all closed, but other vendors were still open. Many options for fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh flowers, plants, nuts, etc. The market has been in operation since the late 1800s, but it's on the smaller side compared to other makets like Porto and Santarem.
