The new restaurant is fantastic - larger than before but still cozy in an indoor-outdoor space that reminds you of the Mediterranean with its beautiful Italian vine. Despite the cool and damp evening, we were comfortable and sheltered behind the clear panels in our own slice of southern Italy. I'm confident it will be perfect for a leisurely summer lunch as well. The food was even better than we remembered - Nonna, Elena, and the team have not lost their magic touch! We enjoyed pasta, main dishes, and the new giant pizza oven's incredible garlic bread that we fought over because it was so delicious. We are already planning on returning next week, specifically on Thursday for gnocchi night. We have fond memories of Nonna's gnocchi from the past, and Elena has promised us a fantastic antipasto platter to start the meal off. We are eagerly looking forward to it!
This Italian restaurant is truly top-notch. Every dish on the menu is outstanding, especially the lamb Ragu pasta and the delicious pizza. You can't go wrong with anything here. And don't forget to try the Tiramisu—it's a must-have. The staff were fantastic and made me feel like I was dining in Italy again.
This restaurant is outstanding in every way. The food is delicious, the service is top-notch, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is superb. The dishes are fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It surpasses all the Italian restaurants we have tried in the Pittwater area, and we haven't found a better Italian restaurant in the USA, UK, or Europe either. The outdoor setting at Pizzico is lovely, and even on a chilly night, we were warm and cozy thanks to the excellent heating. We will definitely be returning soon. - Geoff
Last night a small group of us visited Pizzico for dinner it was busy, buzzing and reminded me of our local trattoria in Anghiari. The service was friendly, helpful and attentive with an added bonus of pride and passion for Italian Cuisine and entertainment. The food was remarkable traditional entrees of Calamari Fritti ,Cozze and Antipasto a perfect way to begin the night and the mains did not disappoint! Pizza perfectly cooked, flavoursome and moist (can still taste the chilli! Fresh seafood and some wonderful pasta Ragu d”Agrello and Fungi are two to try! These guys have recently moved from their first location in the laneway to a larger (not too large venue around the corner with a great courtyard! New kitchen, more space really sets them up as a great place to visit if you are heading to the northern beaches!
We arrived at 7pm for our reservation, were seated at 7.10 and our order wasn’t taken until 7.45pm, this is how long we sat and waited for our drinks order to be taken too. Dining outside at night in May was cold but there is no option given the entire restaurant is outdoor seating. We asked 3x for heaters to be put on but all nearby diners complained of ‘gas leak’ smell so understandably we had to endure the cold, staff also told us it was a ‘fire hazard’ for them to light the outdoor heaters. We ordered pizzas which were average and next time we realise we will just order home delivery wood fired pizza from Pizza e Cucina in Newport and eat in the comfort and warmth of our own home. We won’t be going back to Pizzico. So much potential but let down by poor service and average food.
