Priced appropriately, but if you can make it for happy hour, it is hands down one of the most bang for your buck happy hours and the food is the same quality and close to portion size as lunch as any place. I have always had great service. No complaints. I come here annually as I attend a conference across the street. This year, I have been here 3 times in 4 days.
Took advantage of opportunity to get an early dinner here. No crowds and we had the full attention of our own personal waiter, Robyn. She provided wonderful service. My wife and I both ordered the Salmon Fresca. The presentation was perfect and the flavors were awesome. We don't visit here more than a few times a year. And while we always have a great dining experience, today's was the best yet. Keep in mind that Austin is still in the middle of their dirty water crisis. That means that the kitchen staff must come in early and constantly boil water all day, to prepare the pasta and other food, and even wash the dishes. They deserve extra credit for their efforts!
My wife and went there for our anniversary, it was a pleasant meal. Our waiter was attentive and took good care of us. We had the calamari which was very different hearty pieces and lightly fried it was a nice change from the original. After the heavy appetizer my wife just went with the Lobster bisque which is by far one of the best soups I have ever had. I had the Lamb, which seemed like a small dish for the price, but it was excellent. The one caveat was that the reservation asked if it was a special occasion, but no one mentioned or acknowledged the occasion.
Frequent traveler and Austin local this is one of my favorite places. They have an elegant Italian menu with a really nice dessert menu. It is white table cloth and very nice for business meetings. Also nice a great place for a romantic dinner.
We travel from San Antonio to this location in order to have a nice dinner. They had before a Brio Tuscan Grille in San Antonio but for some reason they are closed permanently. So, like before in San Antonio location, we have here in Austin the best service and very tasty food especially Spicy Shrimp and Eggplant. Our server, Matthew is very fast, professional and he never take notes while we order. So. MATTHEW you are five star) like the restaurant too. We hope to see BRIO again in San Antonio. Best Regards, I.L.C.
