There was only one server. He did the best he could. My food didn't taste right. Too salty. The hashbrowns were weird and my eggs were cooked wrong. I think it may have been an off day for them. But was disappointed and probably won't be back for a while.
Village Inn has really gone down hill from what it once was. Now it closes at 8pm instead of being open late at night. You could always count on them being open late so you could have something to eat after a evening out. Now your lucky if it's even open. And if the have the wait staff to serve you. And a cook to prepare your food correctly. Stopped in yesterday with family for something to eat around 5pm. Place had maybe 10 or 15 tables occupied. So not very busy. Wait staff was short handed. The single cook was the only one in the kitchen and was doing double duty, and doing dishes and prep from what I saw and heard. I ordered biscuits and sausage gravy. .it took almost 45 minutes for our food to arrive. My order arrived with no sausage patties. Instead it had 2 dried out sausage links cut in half in biscuits. The sausage gravy was cols along with the hashbrowns, and my overeasy eggs were over hard. The rest of our family's orders were wrong or missing items. VILLAGE INN used to be our go to place for late night eats. But no longer. We won't be patronizing them any longer. This is all due to the covid epidemic and its fall out. No one wants to work anymore. Everyone is short staffed, and the easiest way for them is to close as early as possible. Or just close and go out of business. Not just for Village Inn but every food service establishment. So if you have a good place to dine, good good, and customer service. Frequent them, tip the staff, and tell your friends and family.
Excellent service and food was awesome. Took a little to be served, but waitress kept us updated and made sure we were ok. The food was worth waiting for, even if it was an omelet.
My husband and I went in, and we have been waiting for an hour and a half for our food. The server was nice, but I don’t think they should be sitting people down so quickly if they do not have the coverage in the kitchen to actually serve people their food. I had not come to a Village inn for a while, and NOW I remember why. Don’t come here unless you have two hours to spare to wait for your food.
