I took one star off because the service last time wasn't as great as it normally is. They forgot to bring chips and salsa and the table was sticky.
The tacos were really good and they had a nice variety of beers on tap. However, bartender Brenden was terrible: said two words to us the whole time. Then when we pointed out that he had charged us for four beers when we drank two, he looked so annoyed that he had been called out on that. Also there was a general sense of chaos in there. One guy was waiting on a take out order when we arrived and was still standing there looking appalled when we left. Get it together, people...
Food is good, but as someone who used to work at tacorita; the pay was bad and Scott was a terrible manager. Recently I've been made aware that scott no longer manages there so maybe things have changed. Can't speak to how much the folks at TacoMama are being paid but washing dishes wasn't worth the $9 and verbal harassment at tacorita.[I was a minor while working here]
Don’t believe “Taco Tuesday” they advertise $3 tacos on their Instagram and neglect to tell you until after you’ve eaten and go to pay that there was a special menu of those specific $3 tacos they didn’t give you. Super misleading to hide the taco Tuesday menu behind that bar and not mention that all tacos weren’t $3. When we brought it up they just argued with us. Terrible experience. Certainly won’t be going back.
Where is the management?? This place used to be awesome and well run. New management has come in and place has gone downhill big time.No one greets you at the door. Workers just look at you and continue their personal conversations.Expect to wait forever for your food and service lacks attention. Food used to coke much quicker but it seems they lost all of their good staff.Management is lacking and staff does whatever they want without trying to improve customer experience.I hope this is noticed and fixed asap because we want to keep supporting this establishment after the owner has passed away.Accountability and organization will go along way here to bring this restaurant back where it was.
