The Flying Biscuit Cafe - Atlanta

Went early morning on a Saturday and had a delicious breakfast. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, good portions. An area of improvement: restrooms not very clean. And why have a hand sanitizer station at the front desk if you are not going to refill it? If it is empty, refill it or just remove it!

Food: Between the cook seemingly cooking my eggs first and the time it took for the waiter bringing out my food, it was pretty much cold. The eggs had a nasty taste to them and the meal wasn't as pleasant as the Flying Biscuits in other parts of Georgia. Not to mentioned I ordered scrambled eggs and they came out scrambled, folded and sat to get cold. Service: Was a I'm here to work typenof service. No smile, no pleasantries, not rude or nasty just a give me your order so we can wrap this up kind of blandness. She did come back to check on me but with the food and the service I decided against ordering anything to go. The atmosphere was ok. It wasn't bad and the area leaves much to do once you're done eating. A picture of my cold, scrambled and folded eggs included for your pleasure. Update: Before I left, I went to the bathrooms...both of them because the first was trifling. The second one was equally nasty. There was a sign on both that said to flush the toilet you have to raise the lid and put it down. I raised it. Waited. Put it down and nothing happened. I can only assume that the full toilet in the other bathroom which was also covered in urine from all of the previous patrons attempting to make a deposit without getting the previous patrons urin on them was not flushed for the same reason. I had to go next door to Chopt to use the bathroom. Please get new toilets, especially since the bathrooms are multi-sex.

Arrived around 10, seated around 10:30, food arrived around 11:20, left around noon. Ordered the streak and eggs, no grits no biscuit, waffle instead. Eggs scrambled with cheese, steak medium. Eggs arrived scrambled, no cheese, steak arrived very well, no seasoning, waffle arrived cold. Also had a sweet tea that was over brewed and under sweetened. If I wasn’t a hungry 9 month pregnant woman, I wouldn’t have eaten it, but thanks to the long wait it was either force it down or starve

We always liked the in-town flying biscuit. We like the one on North Druid Hills even better. It has the same quality food and atmosphere of the old one. It continues to have excellent customer service from people like Crystal (pictured here).
