Went there again on the 30th anniversary of our first date just for lunch and had some excellent food. I had the seafood and fresh vegetable stir fry that came with a side of steamed white rice, and it was beyond any expectation. Not overly flavored but just right. My wife had lo mein, and it was good too, but nothing to make it outstanding. This will be my go-to Chinese food restaurant in the Astoria area in the future. I will order other items and see if my current review is matched in quality.
We had a great stop for a few bevs in the bar, still need to try some food. Our bartender was prompt and friendly and we enjoyed ourselves.
I love this place. The hospitality was the best. Food was so good . And I feel great privacy when I eat. I live 100 miles away. But I don't care. I still drive the distance for this place to eat.
Old school Chinese restaurant. We stopped in for lunch, they had a few tables filled. Server was friendly and a little nervous, she explained that she had just started this job. We both ordered combo plates and had a small order of fried shrimp to split. Pork fried rice was good, with enough pieces of bbq pork and not too much soy sauce, sweet and sour pork was a little over cooked. The sechwaun beef was god with just the right amount of heat, but maybe a little heavy on the cabbage? Fried shrimp was hot and crispy. Overall good experience, we will return.
Stay away, new owners have ruined the food here. Doesn't help the homeless are camped out on the sidewalk. And the creepers smoking in the back lot where we used to park, don't make me feel any better can't tell if they work there or not) anyway the food was uncooked, meat tasted like a dirty freezer, and anything that was deep fried was tainted with old vat oil, like it was a week old and had cooked everything! Very sad
