Yeah , silly us Saturday Cannon Beach, no reservations. Oh well, then we remembered Bouy! We have been meaning to go and then the roof collapse …. You get the picture. We stopped by on our way home and not only did they have a FREAKING JALAPEÑO/ pineapple MARGARITA , they had steamed clams. Hubby loved his burger special and can I just mention the dill dipping sauce for the fries??? So good! Thank you all so much for a great meal in a great space. You saved our long fruitless drive and my pre birthday celebration. If you haven’t been, go you won’t be disappointed , get a beer sampler , eat the fries ask for extra dill sauce then order dinner. Be prepared to be wowed. Pub food kicked up all the notches!
I had two taprooms on my list for Astoria: another one and Buoy. I went to the other one first because that's just how it happened but I'm glad I did because I thought Buoy came out ahead in the end. Everything I tried was solid and crisp with clean notes. I was very excited to see multiple German styles (2 different pilsners, dunkel, helles, vienna lager) done well. I'm a s for a red ale and theirs is near perfect in my view. I enjoyed both taproom visits and they are very different breweries. Maybe Buoy benefited from me not having any real expectations going in, but I was impressed all around. If you're a hophead Buoy is definitely a good stop!
Hello everyone I miss my old Buoy Beer. The wait service is outstanding . But their food needs work. We ordered fish and chips and a Louie salad. What can I say??? They brought us the fish and chips without the fries and the slaw wasn't fresh. I so miss their old salad that had grilled chicken and many other fresh vegetables. I really liked the asparagus on the top of the salad. Their food is ok for tourists but really please bring back the great food you had before. Oooo. One more thing. If you are asking for a 20% tip then the waitress can come to my table and ask us what we would like. If you're going to make Buoy Beer a McDonald's and have people order at the bar then I don't think that is restaurant with service. Don't create a poorly made restaurant that is only for beer and tourists. Make something that you are proud of
We just like this Beer Co. Good beer. Good food. Nice atmosphere. Very friendly staff.
We love to eat at breweries and this one checked all of the boxes for us. Our family of 5 had a fabulous early dinner with chowder and cheese curds. The beer for the adults was also delicious! We enjoyed the atmosphere and appreciated ordering and paying up front, while bussing our own table. This makes sense when so many businesses are short handed. We had no wait, food came fast, and we could leave when we wanted. We'll visit again next time we are in town.
