Shanghai Brasserie - Arun

I’ve been eating from here lately, and it’s always fantastic. The delivery is extremely fast, and the driver is very polite. They always include something extra for breakfast. This is my favorite Chinese restaurant!

In the past, we've experienced missing or incorrect items in our orders, but those issues were always quickly resolved. However, this seems more like an effort to take advantage of customers. The new pricing menu is concerning: £4 for chips, £3 for a mere 10 prawn crackers (only filling up a third of the bag, as shown in the photos), £6.50 for broccoli with garlic, and £6 for seaweed! I've never had an issue spending £60 on a Chinese meal, but now our regular order has jumped from £60 to over £80 for smaller portions, which just doesn't sit right with me. I'm very disappointed with this change and as a result, we will be looking for a different takeaway. It's a shame because we used to love this place.

Not only was my order delayed this time, but it also never arrived, and I couldn't reach anyone at the provided phone number. I will never use this service again.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The sweet and sour sauce lacked flavor, making it inedible. The pork balls were excessively battered, which overwhelmed the taste. The special fried rice was too oily, making it difficult to find the ingredients mixed in. The roasted steamed dumplings were heavy and dense, while the lucky crackers were all soft. The prawn crackers were the only decent item. Unfortunately, the sweet and sour sauce was the worst I've ever had. I won't be ordering from here again.

Delicious food, but the service was even more impressive. I had a minor issue that was resolved incredibly quickly, without any need for me to ask. I've visited several times and will definitely return! Thank you!
