It looked so pretty, but taste wise...it's aiight!Their drinks were also yummy and very colorful, though I don't rememberwhat I ordered because it was ages ago.The staff I remembered were great as well. Was not a fan of the wait, when it got so busy. But still, I felt I had to finish this review I began years ago.Better late than never.
We tried the Cookies and Cream Smothie with Bobas and was deliciuos. Food looks good and we'll definently try it next time. Overall the place is clean, service is great and good music in the background.
This location isn't as good as it used to be. I just had the Pho and wings a few weeks ago. They did not taste as good as they did. New workers?
Tomorrow, June 30, is Cha2o 's last day in Artesia, and I legit wouldn 't have known about it if not for Fivestars. Fivestars sent a notification of a reward that said Cha2o was going to close down on 6/30. I didn 't know if that meant for good or temporarily, but when I read the details, it said permanently. As I looked over their website, I lost count of how many times I read the words sold out on their menu. The availability of their menu items dwindled minute by minute, hour by hour until I checked the Cha2o website one final time before leaving home to see that they no longer had any eats. The sign on their front door confirmed this as well. There was nobody inside the restaurant except the employees working behind the order counter. The dining area was closed off as part of their closing down process, which makes sense considering they no longer served even small plates. I would have loved to try their popcorn chicken, especially if it meant saving 30% off on a drink as advertised online, but alas that was not meant to be. I could only have a drink and nothing else. Well I could have had more than one drink, but you get my drift.I did visit once before and got a Fruity in da Booty smoothie, which was a blend of strawberries, pineapples, mangos, and bananas. It was really good and really refreshing! I even got it with crystal boba just to see what crystal boba tasted like. Unfortunately, it was a while ago, and I can 't remember, but after having tried regular boba at other boba shops, crystal boba was a pretty nice change for once! I probably could have gone without any toppings, however, because the Fruity in da Booty came with so many fruit bits that were too big to fit through a boba straw. So after finishing the smoothie, I had to open the lid and drink the fruit bits like a glass of milk to ensure I got my fruits for the day :)Anyways, going back to the penultimate day of operation, I quickly perused the drink menu on a table directly in front of the cashier, and I decided to go for the Bikini Peach. A 16 oz drink is $6.99, but you can get 50% more smoothie for 75 more cents. Needless to say, I paid the extra to get the extra.I arrived first before a few other customers. It took the employees just over 10 minutes to prepare my Bikini Peach smoothie. I think I only waited half that long on my first visit when no other customer was present inside the restaurant. However, considering they were going to be closing for good after the next day, I won 't ding them that much for allowing me to spend a little more time inside before finally bidding farewell to the Vietnamese restaurant in City Plaza. When I got my Bikini Peach, I saw a good amount of fruit bits just like in Fruity in da Booty, but there certainly wasn 't that much fruit. A Bikini Peach is a blend of peaches, strawberries, and mangos, one fewer fruit than Fruity in da Booty. However, I was a little ticked that it was pretty icy inside, and even when I got home after making two stops elsewhere, there was a big chunk of ice that I drank alongside the remaining fruit bits that couldn 't fit in the boba straw. Kind of annoying, but the Bikini Peach tasted really good nonetheless! The fruit bits tasted pretty fresh, and I definitely needed that refreshment after an incredibly long and grueling day!I hardly knew Cha2o, and I 'm kind of sad they had to close much earlier than I expected. They do have three other locations: one in Riverside, one in Fullerton, and one in Cypress, which is actually a Cha2o mini. I 'm not totally sure, but I think the mini has a much more limited selection of eats. Luckily, Cypress isn 't that much farther out, so next time I 'm craving a fruity smoothie, I 'll be happy to make the farther drive to see what Cha2o mini has in store. The Fivestars deals at Cha2o honestly weren 't that enticing to earn a return visit until the 15% off reward I used the day of my last visit. I 'm disappointed I never got to try their food, but given its overall rating of 3 stars, maybe I
I was looking forward to eating here because prior to the pandemic it was amazing. I was disappointed with the flavor of the food. We ordered everything mild and they gave us spicy so We had to send it back. The chicken wings were not fully cooked and we had to send that back to the kitchen as well. The mango tea was really good though. But unfortunately I won't be going back
