Tasquinha - Arganil

Great staff that told me they would close in half an hour after my arrival. there was no menu. most places I know would offer them the door. but not these, they asked me what I would like to eat in general. when I said I was vegetarian, but also fish ate, they suggested that they have a look into the kitchen and see what they could smell. collect me a few cuvert and a beer n the meantime and 10 minutes later came back with a nice plate of bacalhau and veggies. simply wonderful Portuguese cuisine made brilliant. what beautiful people who couldn't do enough for me. absolutely recommended. go there, you won't regret it. this place is a breath of fresh air that could teach others something or two about service and great eating.

Dez. winter night almost all places are already closed 10pm. and we had luck that the restaurant owner is still there. set menu only 5.5 euro. great food. the owner is happy, happy to go happy person all smile and ready to give more.

Lovely contemporary setting, very small with simple fixed menu (with wine) at a good price. Local trout was lovely.

Well it's not the Ritz or the Savoy but it doesn't pretend to be. It's a rustic Portuguese eating house. Food was good, service excellent and mein host speaks good English which is a bonus.
