Red Apple Cafe - Aptos

I have lived 16 years in aptos and would recommend the red apple cafe no one. on Easter Sunday we ate for the last time in the red apple cafe. my wife tried to order egg over medium and the chef missed 3 times wrong to get it right – first two attempts were coarsely underboiled (jolks were cold and runny), and the third time the egg were literally burned over detection. at this point my wife had lost her appetit. in order to further worsen the situation, my wife was then held by gracia (indicting to be the owner) at our table before all other customers. according to gracia, “her chef is not able to prepare for such a specific request.” wow, we had no idea that over-average eggs would test the limits of an allegedly well established breakfast restaurant. when we asked to have taken the eggs off the bill, gracia became extremely aggressive, loud and bellier and threatened to call the police and call us for stealing from her. my wife felt so threatened that she reported gracias behavior to the santa cruz county sheriff. ironically, it sounds as if our experience is not unique and the red apple cafe and gracia have a call for similar service and treatment. there are many other possibilities in the environment. I would avoid gracia and the red apple cafe like the plague.
