Also got a sushi roll and dumpling for the kids but those weren’t the highlights of this spot. The soup could’ve used a bit more salt but overall it was good with the spiciness and the beef had plenty of flavor. There aren’t many Szechuan restaurants in RI so this one being in the area is a gem. I would definitely visit again to try the many other Szechuan dishes including the mala trays and fish entrees. For the 1 or 2 one star reviewers… yea stick to China Inn for your basic lo-mein and/or spare ribs. For the more adventurous, give this place a try.
Going through the motions...walked in and was immediately aware of the aroma of stank weed . Hmmmm. Won ton soup--pathetic--clear broth with a couple of won tons. Pork buns-tasted old--obvious frozen product--tasted like the fridge. Got several sushi rolls--hard to differentiate one from another. Loaded with artificial crab and spicey sauce which I specifically ordered to avoid. The yellowtail sushi was awesome. $64...grrrrrr No passion--no excellence. No repeat customer.
While the spicy Mala dry pot was amazing the Dan Dan noodles were not it, it lacked flavor and sauce. We also ordered prawns with the head and didn't get the head. Egg rolls was short on flavor as well. Crab Rangoon is way to sweet. How ever I will def try other dishes.
