The Stag And Coffee Shop - Angus

Just been for an afternoon tea with my daughter it’s one of the best I’ve had. Great selection of savoury treats and delicious cakes beautifully presented.

Travelled to Forfar to see Scottish Cup tie and stumbled into The Stag. Well decorated, clean and efficient bar with attached restaurant. I returned after the game, bar was busy as I'd thought and restaurant looked to be fully booked suggesting food is good.

Christmas festive lunch with a group of friends. I haven't been in the Stag for ages however had an amazing meal today from the Christmas menu. Food was excellent all 7 in the group enjoyed everything that was ordered. Food arrived hot, well prepared and a good helping too. Congratulations to the chef. As most of us chose to have a coffee instead of pudding the only comment would be to pop a small mint/biscuit with the coffees would have been appreciated. Will definitely be back and if you've not booked Christmas lunch I would recommend it.

Visited with friends from abroad as a meeting place that was central to their friends and relatives here. The place was immaculately clean and the cakes and beverages very good. Staff were attentive and friendly, a very positive experience.
