Sara's Sandwiches - Anchorage

Picked up vegi sandwiches ToGo for our Whittier half day cruise. Good bread and fresh ingredients. Well sized portion.

You make your own sandwich option is good for vegans. The sandwiches and potions are large and I couldn’t eat all of it. The other patrons were asking for the sandwiches to go as well. Seating is nice and the atmosphere was good at 2:30 on a Tuesday. Staff were polite and communication was good as well, the order was quick and exactly what I ordered. Price wasn’t too bad either and they accommodate discounts too. Will return if the option arises.

Upon arriving in Anchorage, we stopped here to grab some sandwiches for our road trip. Got a turkey sandwich and absolutely loved it. We wished we had come across a similar place on our Alaska travels but sadly this was the only one we could find. Definitely making this a staple stop on our next trip up north!

Following our Northern Lights Coupon Book this eatery was a delight to find especially on a Saturday when they offer a free cup of soup with each sandwich ! It's a order Make Your Own Sandwich style on several types of breads plus 4 selections of soup Staff was friendly helpful food was good most are $8.75 with a side. Wonderful Place plan on another visit !

It was between 2 and 3 in the afternoon and I wanted just a good sandwich and/or salad, not expensive but somewhere I could have a leisurely respite. I 'm not real familiar with Anchorage, but all the places I knew of that would work were closing for the day so I did a search on the phone and found Sara 's. It was close by and had good reviews so what the heck. It doesn 't offer anything in visual appeal or ambiance nope not at all. But what it does offer is the reason you are there: FRESH sandwiches. Choose from a list of over 30 combinations, or design one yourself. A choice of salads are also listed and, although I didn 't see one due to the 'non busy ' time, I have no reason to believe they would be a disappointment. Bread choices are whole wheat, croissant, rye, sourdough, gluten free, french sub, wheat sub, and 4 flavors of wraps. There 's a soup of the day. And here 's a great feature for all the folks out there trapped at work: They deliver. But don 't call at 11:00 for a noon delivery they 're too busy. Orders for noon deliveries have to be in by 10AM. I had my sandwich on a croissant. Most often I 've found when sandwiches are served on a croissant, the croissant is dry and stale. Not this one! It was delicious. And yes, there are tables and chairs for eating in.
