I've sat in a variety of spots and the only section that's questionable view-wise is by the large yellow poles alongside the edges of the field. The Jumbotron is amazing, I can see everything I need (stats, facts etc. clearly. There's a cool set of flamethrowers by the waterfall that go off when we score. I absolutely adore the amount of food and beverage options. There's tons of food, from Mexican (tacos, burritos, taquitos and more , burgers, chicken, mac and cheese, pizza and I'm not even scratching the surface. Food trucks come in with amazing BBQ, Asian-inspired dishes and other Latin cuisine! So goood. Also, the desserts are endless, I've always loved the ice cream and now there's even more options like cookies (a whole pop-up , waffles, freshly baked brownies and again so much MORE. There's tons of alcohol stands too if you're into that like Don Julio and several brewery stands. There's a bunch of team stores throughout the stadium, the main one at the front entrance and many smaller ones (at least one per level, the bottom level has several . I prefer the smaller ones for caps and smaller merch. The bigger store is more for clothing and miscellaneous memorabilia. My main issue with Angels Stadium is the staff, I can't give it five stars because the attitudes here are really odd. Most of the seating, escalator, and corridor attendants are grouchy, older people with bad vibes. It's unfortunate that these folks hate their jobs. They're also unprofessional, I heard them bashing on other workers, not very nice! I also see a sense of entitlement, some of the staff think they own the stadium and hand out dirty looks like Oprah hands out giveaways. It's rare when I find friendly event staff which is a real shame. The parking staff are cool and the main entrance workers are fine. Parking was easy, there's a lot of entrances and exits so it's not too hard to travel to and from your car upon arrival and exit. Parking was $20, not thrilled but whatever. Overall, I have a lot of great memories here and I'll be sure to continue to return. It's the first MLB stadium I went to as a kid and it will always hold a special place in my heart. Angels Stadium fueled my love for baseball. GO ANGELS!
Tonight was a blast my Mom's best friend/family and I took our kids to the game tonight. It was really her idea for her son and invited us along. So happy we all went, it's been a long time since I have been to a baseball game actually. My daughter got a hot dog and my friends son got a pizza which was not bad at all, we both got nachos in the helmets which was so huge lol and I got a side of jalapenos. My daughter got a slushy and then we went to our seats. It was moderately busy tonight the vibe was good. I was feeling a bit off today but I still had a really fun time and all that matters is the kids had a great time. They laughed and smiled they loved it. Also before we left my friends son really wanted a baseball throw his way and to catch one. He wanted it so badly, this nice gentleman in front of us heard him wanting one and he had caught a ball earlier in the game I guess and pretended to throw it like the players did and he got his ball! It made his night and then while leaving this nice lady directed us so my daughter could also have a ball and she gave them some temporary tattoos and a baseball card each! They were soo happy it made her night and their night so special! Thank you for a terrific time tonight, fantastic game. We honestly left before the game ended but it went really well! What a memorable night for our kids thank you so much to that kind gentleman and the nice lady for giving my daughter a baseball! Have a beautiful day : Aloha
We took our son to an Angel game tonight and the seats were terrible.. no leg space (less space than other sections) in Section 208A traffic of people walking in front of our seats and blocking our view was non-stop! and we couldn't watch the game. In addition, the person next to us was on her phone the whole game and had her phone blocking our view to home plate. To get into the stadium: There was one long single line that wrapped around the outside to get through the security check point.. it was ridiculous the stadium didn't have several security check points open around the stadium to get fans into the stadium at a faster pace. Just want to warn others about section 208 row A.. no leg room and views to home plate are terrible.
I've been to this stadium more times than I can count but I was here recently so that's what my review is based on. I've never had a problem here, not with parking, leaving or entering, not with concessions, not with fans, nothing. My time here has always been a blast, win or lose. The food is typical stadium food with stadium prices to match but who doesn't love ice cream or nachos in a hat? Or a good ole hot dog. I came here on a Sunday to watch my niece walk the field so getting in was a breeze, getting my concessions was a breeze and leaving was a breeze. I also stayed until the end of the game and was to my car and out of the parking lot in less than 5 minutes so come early, stay later and I think you'll be fine. Parking is $20 and everything is cashless!
One of my son, nephew and I's favorite bonding activities is to go watch our Astro's play in other stadiums. Our goal is to one day hit up every stadium. This particular trip brought us to Anaheim to watch our team take on the Angels. We stayed in the LA area and made the drive to Anaheim which wasn't too bad. The area around the stadium is nice and clean. Parking options at this stadium is one of the better ones I have seen. 20 bucks gets you right in the stadium parking lot. We parked next to their cool sign so we can take pics. We always get to the stadiums early so we can see our team warming up. As always, Astros fans really showed up. The staff and fans were not as warm and welcoming as other stadiums we have been to, but we come to expect that being fans of America's team. We did witness a few altercations all of which resulted in the local fans getting kicked out. Do better Anaheim fans! The stadium itself from the outside looks fine. It is an open air stadium which I personally love. As far as the inside, it felt more like a college or fancy high school stadium. There wasn't much wow factor like in San Francisco for example. They have a random water feature in the outfield area. That's about it. We had first row seats by the visiting team dugout and the views were great. At one point we went to get some food and came back to some Yankees fans sitting in our seats. They had a little something to say but made the smart move to keep it moving. Other stadiums are a little more strict with checking tickets before sending people down, especially to lower level seats. Food and concession wise, again, compared to other stadiums, the choices were pretty underwhelming. They didn't have any standout items such as some sort of food that showcases local foods. I will say, the generic baseball stadium concessions we did have were tasty. We had pizza that was hot and tasty. We saw lots of people eating helmet nachos so we had to see what the hype was. It was a mini helmet full of fully loaded nachos. They used regular Tostitos chips which was ok, but they could've been elevated a bit with some better chips. When all is said and done, a good time was had like always. This stadium is far from my favorite, but it was nice to check it out along with Shohei Otani pitching before he jumped ship to the Dodgers.
