Ure's Country Kitchen - Amherstburg

Supper friendly, cute place in the back of a Country Store and Gas Station. I had a Western Sandwich and my friend opted for scrambled eggs and toast. The owner put on a fresh pot of coffee for us, and we had a couple of refills. A lot of the customers seemed to know each other, which helped to create the nice friendly atmosphere. The next time, I would like to go for lunch.

Want the basics they are good at it. Good value good service and nice size meal. Have been there for breakfast many times they are consistent. Not fancy. They also have variety store and gas station.

Small diner in the back of a gas station/convenience store. Doesn't sound like much but its actually one of the best breakfast diners in the county. Great service in a small atmosphere, with greasy-spoon breakfast food (and i mean that in a good way).

When outside in the county between harrow and amherstburg, not really sure where to go for breakfast. But as part of the tour county road 50 weekend, started with breakfast here at the intersection of Hwy 18. I have driven by this business and have always thought it was a convenience store and did not realize there is a restaurant inside. You do enter through the variety store with the kitchen in the back.The decor is rustic country. The menu selection has something for everyone and everything is made fresh with mom in the kitchen and dad watching the variety store. When we visited on Sunday morning, it was busy and service can be slow. The food is good, location is easy to find and is a good spot being close to harrow and holiday beach. I do wish they do them out and will visit again for breakfast if I find myself visiting in the area.

Great home cooked meals, especially breakfast! If you're camping in the area, and don't like to cook, stop by here for some good eats!
