Jethro's Bbq Ames

Of course, the food is great. But the service! Not only menu service, but cleanliness. Exceptional! I know it's not the most glamorous job cleaning after someone eat BBQ, but the staff seems to make a better than ordinary effort to make sure that host sessions really go completely clean and ready for the next person. Maybe. I'm old, maybe you do this every day. But a clean table for everyone was once a lost art. But Jethro is now excellent. I appreciate the cleanliness of your restaurant as much as the ingenious food. Good.

The establishment was nice. It has a built in game room with pool and a few arcades that can be paid for over your phone. The dining area was spacious the staff were all really nice. The only reason I give it 4 of 5 stars is because while I thought the BBQ meat was good it was lacking in flavorful sauce, honestly what is BBQ without the sauce. Oh... and in my humble opinion the fried pickles needed seasoning. ?

I ordered the shrimp dinner with Mac and waffle fries. Absolutely delicious. My boyfriend got the chicken finger grilled cheese with Mac and cheese and loves it too. The time is mornings on Saturday. XD

If you order the fried cheese squares eat them quickly. When they come out hot and gooey they're pretty nice, but they cool down fast into a solid and meh block of cheese. The rest of the food was also pretty good, especially their white cheese shell mac n' cheese they use as their side. Alongside that they have some really unique Jethro's sauces on the table to try. Service was fine and restaurant was clean, not much to say there.

Amazing ... from the time you walk in to the time you leave! Great food and customer service! It’s a must place to visit
