Cyril's Fish House - Amagansett

I LOVE CYRIL'S. Its the best place in Amagansett for food, atmosphere, music and fun before reaching Montauk. The staff is fantastic and friendly. It's a one of a kind Caribbean style place. The closest you'll get to an island!

Although not fancy, there is a real island vibe that Cyril and his staff provide that we find to be just like we are vacationing in the Caribbean. We have gone there about 30 times in the past 4 summers. They are great with my fish eating kids, we enjoy lunch and dinners there, and us adults will often go later on for some more fun. And what a convenient walk from the Seacrest, where we spend 2 separate weeks each summer. Cyril himself is a legend in our minds, he is so friendly and we will se him for diner on June 28th, 2008 for dinner and probably about 5 other times that week!!!!! Go and relax, my 13 year old recommends the lobster and clam chowder and the consistency over the years of the freshness and quality of all of the food...if it is not fresh, they will not offer it!!!!

My wife and I were just recalling our great trip to Montauk Point Long Island and remembered our great afternoon at Cyril's. The man himself is an absolute riot, holding court at his VIP table; the day we were there the conversation turned to his days as a pub owner in Spain....I never laughed so hard in my life. We ended up at this table after an amazing meal of tender fried shrimp (the BIG ones, not the little ones we get in Key West), scallops and a great marinated skirt steak with an avocado sauce. Our waitress Valerie was as attentive as any we've ever had, and the food the same. Our BBCs (their signature drink) knocked us out of commission for the day, big and strong and sweet going down. Two is definitely too many and three is not enough, if you know what I mean! Our meals were served on paper plates but deserved the finest china and the bill was very reasonable. We ended up there all day, laughing with Cyril and his cronies and had the best time. It was the highlight of our vacation. I would recommend this place to everyone! And make sure to say hello to the pretty barmaids on the way in!
