La Porchetta - Altona Meadows

We tried both vegan pizzas on the menu, the spicy pesto chick’n and the vegan veggie patch. both surpassed our expectations! tons of toppings, veggie was loaded with mushrooms, pumpkin, spinach and sun dried tomatoes. very juicy! the cheese they use looks dry, but is very soft and melty and has a great taste. the spicy pesto-mock chicken pizza was also amazing. they put so much on it, and the wobble and capsicum go really well. the pesto was tasty and again, much more fussy cheese. we also tried the vegan cirsch garlic bread, which was soft and tasty, with a good amount of cheese. The Arancini balls were from this world! full vegetables, soft and delicate on the inside and crispy on the outside. Oily, but a nice amount for the court. as soon as they bite through the crispy outside, there is a wonderful chewing gum to her crust. 100% would order any item on our next order.

Had a large family lunch and everything was great. the staff was so beautiful, helpful, sweet and attentive. all foods came together, hot and fresh and amazing quality. we felt so coveted and are so great because it was a special lunch that my nonnas 90 celebrated. after 2 years luredown and not really seeing her family, my nonna was so happy. it was so important for us to have a relaxed and happy meeting and these youngs made it super easy and pleasant. They used to use proper meat for their lasagna, but recently they’ve switched to ground beef. You can barely taste any. Pretty disappointing. I’d prefer if they kept the same quality but increased the price.
